Supporting food insecurity is important to FirstOntario. Food4Kids ensures children with limited or no access to food receive a package of food for the weekend. FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers are helping assemble the packages so they can be delivered on Friday.

The Out of the Cold Program offers meals and engagement to our neighbours facing food insecurity, homelessness, or social isolation. FirstOntario is providing the hot dinner and Blue Wave employee volunteers to help portion the meal.

The Coldest Night of the Year Walks help raise funds for charities serving people experiencing homelessness, hurt and hunger. FirstOntario is proud to sponsor several partners and join in walks across our communities.

Hamilton
The CPKC Holiday Train is rolling into Hamilton to help spread holiday cheer and raise money, food and awareness for people struggling with food insecurity. FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers will be there to help with the collection.

Pen Centre, St. Catharines
This holiday season, Hospice Niagara is inviting the community to honour someone special with a beautiful butterfly. For every donation, a butterfly ornament will be added to a virtual holiday tree along with a loved one's name and a specialized message. FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers will be helping at the booth at the Pen Centre.

Toys R Us – Hamilton Mountain, Hamilton
Toys R Us and Ontario Provincial Police have teamed up for Operation: Toy Drive in support of United Way Halton & Hamilton. FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers will be there to welcome the community and fill the command centre with toys.

Hess Village, Downtown Hamilton
Visit the Hess Village Winter Market in the heart of Hamilton's downtown core. FirstOntario is proud to sponsor this winter fun event over two weekends that includes vendors, business specials and photos with Santa.

Fortinos Mall Road, Hamilton
Neighbour to Neighbour Centre’s food bank will provide free groceries, including a turkey, to around 1,700 families this holiday. The Turkey Drive is taking place at select Fortinos stores and FirstOntario’s Blue Wave employee volunteers will be on hand to help with the promotion.

FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers got into the spirit by helping with holiday gift wrapping. Gift wrapping will be available throughout the month and all proceeds support Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation.
